Durch Hörtests war uns klar, dass Metallfedern und das Metall-Subchassis die klanglichen Möglichkeiten des Vorgängermodels Perspective einschränkten.
Die Lösung war radikal: Das Subchassis des 6perspeX schwebt auf einem Magnetfeld, dass eine beinahe 100%ige Entkoppelung von der Umgebung ermöglicht. Das Subchassis wurde aus dem resonanzfreien Werkstoff ´Corean´ gefertigt. Das Ergebnis war so überragend, dass wir uns entschlossen am 6perspeX erstmals unseren superlativen HighEnd-Tonarm Pro-Ject ´9cc Evolution´ einzusetzen. …At its asking price, the Ortofon Quintet Bronze is reasonably priced, and it's certainly capable of expressing a wide frequency range performance with a large soundstage, natural textures, and spot-on tonality. While the Bronze was in my system I wanted for nothing more, save a better grip on low end fundamentals. The Bronze was never soft and fuzzy, but it tends to roll off upper treble, denying the fine detail that the less expensive Denon, and other moving coil carts, easily convey. If you have a solid state based system, the Ortofon Quintet Bronze cartridge may be the full bodied compliment you've been looking for."

• Das Chassis aus transparentem Acrylglas steht auf drei in der Höhe einstellbaren, mit Sorbothane® bedämpften Aluminiumkegeln und trägt die Subchassiskonstruktion. Das aus Corian gefertigte Subchassis ruht auf drei Magnetfeldern. Die mitgelieferte Wasserwaage Pro-Ject Level it erleichtert die Justage des Subchassis.
• Eine in einer Sinterbronzebuchse drehende, mit einer Keramikkugel versehene Edelstahlachse bildet auf einem Keramiklagerboden laufend das invertierte Plattentellerlager.
• Der resonanzoptimierte Plattenteller ist eine Sandwichkonstruktion aus einem feingewuchteten 2kg schweren, aus verdichteten Holzfasern gefertigtem Teller, einer 4mm starken plangeschliffenen Auflage aus dem Schallplattenmaterial Vinyl und einer aufschraubbaren Plattenklemme aus Metall.
• Über das mit vergoldeten Cinch-Buchsen und einer Masseklemme ausgestattete Anschlussterminal können individuelle NF-Kabel zum Phonoeingang des Verstärkers eingesetzt werden.
• Ausgelagertes Netzteil zum Schutz vor eventuellen mechanischen und elektromagnetischen Störungen.
Tonarm 9cc Evolution
• Tonarmrohr und Headshell sind aus einem Stück Kohlefaser gefertigt.
• Das konisch geformte Tonarmrohr vermeidet stehende Wellen.
• Invertiertes Tonarmlager aus vier gehärteten, in Kugellagern der Qualität ABEC 7 gelagerten Edelstahlspitzen.
• Äußerst massive Kardankonstruktion dient zur Aufnahme der Lager. Der äußere Lagerblock ist offen, was das Kreisen von Störenergie verhindert.
• Das mit einer Einlage aus Sorbothane versehene Gegengewicht ist als Antiresonator ausgebildet; ein unerwünschtes Aufschaukeln von Störschwingungen wird so vermieden.
• Die Halterung des Gegengewichts ist zur Plattentellerebene hin abgesenkt, dadurch sind günstige Hebelkräfte beim Abspielen welliger Platten gewährleistet.
• Die massive Tonarmbasis bietet eine Verstellmöglichkeit der Arbeitshöhe des Tonarms und somit eine Einstellmöglichkeit des vertikalen Abtastwinkels (VTA).
• Das Tonarmrohr kann nach Lösen einer Schraube verdreht werden. Dies macht trotz des festen Headshells eine horizontale (Azimut-) Justage des Tonabnehmers möglich.
• Die hochwertige Verdrahtung vom Headshell bis zu den vergoldeten RCA/Cinch-Buchsen besteht aus hochflexibler Litze aus reinem Kupfer.
