Das 101 ist der Einstieg bei DoAcoustics und nach denselben Grundsätzen gebaut wie die größeren Modelle: Die Frequenzweiche erster Ordnung ist freiverdrahtet aufgebaut — keine Platine, alle Verbindungen Punkt zu Punkt von Hand gelötet. Verbaut sind Mundorf-Bauteile, sauerstofffreie Innenverkabelung und rhodinierte Klemmen.

Im Hochton arbeitet eine Kalotte, im Tief-Mittelton ein Polypropylen-Chassis. Mit 90 dB Wirkungsgrad an 8 Ohm ist das 101 unkompliziert zu betreiben; DoAcoustics empfiehlt 25 bis 100 Watt.
